Myoko Suginohara

Myoko Suginohara is one of the premier ski resorts in the Myoko area of Niigata Prefecture, renowned for having some of the longest runs in Japan. With a massive vertical drop of 1,124 meters (731m to 1,855m), the resort offers an exceptional top-to-bottom skiing experience across 17 courses served by 5 lifts. The resort receives an impressive average of 1,200cm of snowfall annually, ensuring deep powder conditions throughout the season.

The resort is particularly popular with intermediate to advanced skiers who appreciate the long, sweeping runs and excellent tree skiing opportunities. The upper mountain terrain provides access to ungroomed powder zones that rival some of the best backcountry skiing in Japan. Despite its impressive scale, Myoko Suginohara tends to be less crowded than nearby resorts, making it a favorite among powder seekers looking for uncrowded slopes and deep snow.
